Park close to the junction of Caister's Close. If you're cycling, there is a bike rack to the left hand side of the block just prior to the communal entrance.

Where is the therapy room?

The therapy room is located in my home at the The Upper Drive. It is located on the second / top floor, access is only via communal stairs. Once booking is made, I will send you confirmation with full address details.

When do I need to arrive?

Please try to arrive 5-10 minutes before your massage to allow time to ask questions and discuss treatment prior to starting.

What do I wear?

Please wear underwear as the massage will require the removal of other clothing. At the start of treatment, towels will cover your body and be partially removed to gain access to the areas being worked on. When working on the back, females can leave their bra on with the strap undone for comfort.

What oil do you use?

I mainly use almond oil on my clients. This is because almond is a powerful moisturiser that can be used on the face or body. It is a good choice for massage because it is nourishing and moisturising. It also has powerful anti-fungal properties. **Please let me know if you have a nut allergy and we can use grape seed oil as an alternative. Both these oils are good sources of essential fatty acids and vitamin E, polyphenols, and flavonoids, and help to improve blood circulation.

What is the aftercare?

You may experience detox symptoms following massage, including; increased urination, flu-like symptoms, and feelings of emotion. That will pass in the next 12-24 hours. Try to limit caffeine, alcohol or stimulants for the rest of the day to assist with detoxication. Drink plenty of water (5-6 glasses) and carry out light exercise only for the rest of the day.

What are the benefits of massage?

Massage relieves muscle pain and tension, stress and anxiety, and promotes relaxation. Other benefits include improved sleep, better posture, improved blood circulation and lowered heart rate and blood pressure.

How does massage help treat injuries?
